We had a pretty busy Small Business Saturday at Wick & Tallow! The BBC popped in to interview us about the business a couple of days before, and then Sky News dropped in on Small Business Saturday to find out our views on the initiative. Have a look at the great videos below!
Saturday 27th September sees Wick & Tallow featured in the Small Biz 100, one of a hundred businesses featured by the Small Business Saturday campaign.
As part of the campaign Alice and Tom met Oliver Proudlock from Channel 4's Made In Chelsea and owner of British fashion and accessories label Serge DeNimes to discuss how they started Britain's brightest new home fragrance brand, what sets them apart and how they'll be championing the Small Business Saturday campaign on Saturday 6th December 2014.
To celebrate our involvement in Small Business Saturday, Wick & Tallow is offering free shipping within the UK from all orders placed online using its 2-3 Working Days (Signed For) service. You can shop the range of candles here.
It's a big week for London, and an even bigger one for Wick & Tallow. Fresh off the back of London Fashion Week, we move seamlessly into the London Design Festival where Wick & Tallow has arrived with a bang, exploring both how we might interact with fragrance in years to come whilst also showcasing our Bold Collection in a more traditional manner as well. Below we explain what we're up to and where you can find us!

We invite you to explore this through our interactive olfactory experience titled Future Scent, enabling you to digitally control each of the fragrances in our Bold Collection via an iPad on our stand. Exhibiting as part of the critically acclaimed Ventura Projects for design junction this really is something not to be missed. At Wick & Tallow we're not just about candles, although obviously they are a large part of what we do. We like most things scent, candle and wax related and have a Pinterest board for just that purpose. On our Musings in Wax board you will find an array of wax or candle based delights there that we want to share with the world because we think they're rather wonderful, creative and inspiring. The pictures below give you a quick edit of the kind of things you can find in our collection and all link directly to our Pinterest account so you easily follow us to keep up with what we like. Enjoy!

This Sunday we will be selling our candles at the Soho Flea Market. Billed as the UK's premier artisan and designer crafts event, it looks set to be a fantastic day of summer festivities. Filled with incredible stalls selling everything from fashion to furniture mixed together with an amazing array of London's best street food and a great line up of music all thrown in for good measure.
Alongside our very own range of luxury scented candles will be casual wear from Plane Clothing, jewellery from Storm in a Teacup, bags from Beara Beara, ceramics from Jimbobart, homeware from Victoria Eggs, vintage inspired fashion from Teastained Lil and a whole lot more. The full line up can be seen on the event website here and you may very well pick up the perfect Father's Day present ahead of the mad rush.
The Meringue Girls, Hix's Fish Dog, Pizza Pilgrims and the Pit Stop Cafe will be amongst those whetting your appetites with their delicious selections of street food to keep you energised throughout the day.
Supported by The Groucho Club, Soho House group, Dean Street Studios and Quo Vadis amongst others, it will certainly be a day to remember. Last year more than 15,000 people attended, doubling the number from its inaugural year in 2012. All the action starts at 11am and goes on until 7pm, ensuring that there is plenty of time to get round all the stalls and really get stuck in.
Come and find us if you're in the area, we'll be outside Black's Club on Dean Street with an exciting new look stand to show off! The nearest tube stations are Leicester Square and Tottenham Court Road.
